Our first event at Ellesmere College was thoroughly enjoyable with everyone appreciating the amazing acoustics in the historic hall. A high standard of musicianship was achieved during the weekend, which culminated in a final, informal concert to friends and family. Our musicians tackled some challenging music from the wind band repertoire, including ‘Persis’ (James Hosay), Fate of the Gods (Steven Reineke), Playtime for Bassoon (Geoff Kingston), Highland Cathedral (Arr. Peaple), Virginia (Jacob de Haan) and Barber of Seville (Rossini)
