Shrewsbury School
Set in 110 acres, Shrewsbury School is situated in an enviable position on the banks of the River Severn on the outskirts of the historic town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury School was founded by Edward VI in 1552 by Royal Charter and a bronze statue of one of their most celebrated Old Salopians, Charles Darwin, lies at the heart of the school.
Rehearsals take place in the award winning Maidment Building. Opened by HRH Prince Charles, it is a purpose built resource that provides a superb rehearsal and practice area.

Shrewsbury School is situated approximately 50 miles west of Birmingham and 75 miles south of Manchester, the school is easily accessible by car and by train.
Shrewsbury is served by Virgin trains from London Euston (by changing at Birmingham New Street or Wolverhampton). There are also regular services from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Oxford, Cardiff and Bristol. Shrewsbury station is just the far side of the centre of the town from the school and is approximately 20 minutes’ walk away or a short taxi ride.
